Another friend, another wedding.
bakasama and I are supposed to be in the wedding party for an old friend... I'm thinking this is what I'm going to wear. Wire-woven flowers made with faceted opalescent milk glass, mother-of-pearl, and blue lace agate, with more opalite danglies underneath. Sterling silver chain. Opalite is a nightmare to photograph. I don't think I ever, ever, ever want to do that again. Named for the Anglo-Saxon goddess, who personified the rising sun. She's associated with spring and fertility. |

I could never attempt half of the things you do

I'm kicking around the idea of making a silly little tutorial or two. Maybe a walkthrough of the necklace that's going to be in that magazine. bakasama seems to think its a good idea, anyway. He'd better... because if I do it, he's going to be the one stuck taking pictures.
I deal more with metals, desiging and cutting out.. I gave away my skull and cross necklace, and I don't have my stone and mask thing back yet..
Rght now, we're doing wax molds..it's hard.. and I burned myself X_x
But yeah.. I'm horrible with beads, too small for me

This one was horrible to make! I never thought I'd finish it... I chucked it back in the bead box and said, 'To hell with it!' at least three times.
It took about 2 - 2.5 hours to make, I think. Each of the big flowers took about 10-15 minutes to do; the smaller ones only took 2-3 apiece. Those were easy... the really wretched part was figuring out how to hook them all together where they'd lay flat and now twist around all over the place.
I haven't worked with metals much... other than, um, welding on auto bodies and stuff, heh. I'd really like to learn how to do lost wax casting and stuff. And I'd love to learn how to facet stones.
