For *jala -- my first commission for another DA person. :)

She wanted the band to be Celtic knot-ish with some LoTR elvish influence. When she told me that, I thought, "Noo! Anything but that! There's no way in the world I can do that with wires!" ...But instead of telling her that, I tried to sway her with about 18 other designs, then gave up and sucked it up and tried to make it. :D

There's approximately 52 feet of wire in this beast. The moon mosaic is a bunch of 2mm, 3mm, 4mm, 5mm, and 10mm beads I wove together with 32g wire and nylon fishing line stuff. There's white and rainbow moonstone, mother-of-pearl, blue lace agate, Swarovski AB crystals, pale blue and lavender Czech glass, and howlite in there (think I got everything). The little danglies on either side of the moon are ice flake quartz, and the drop beneath is labradorite.

*jala asked that the circlet be made with Arianrhod in mind, a Welsh goddess whose name means 'Silver Wheel.' She rules over the moon and stars, as well as initiation and reincarnation.

Thanks very much! :)

I'd love to see a picture of it on her -- I'll have to nag her for one!
:iconmanson-brown:
Yep, I bend them myself; mostly using my fingers and nylon jaw pliers for the bigger loops, and little needle nose ones for the small ones.

Thank you. :)

Thanks!

I really had my doubts whether or not I could do something like that, but all in all I'm pretty pleased with it. Not too bad for ripping it all apart and starting over about three times. ;)

:giggle: You're very welcome. That's hysterical. Three times. We all doubt ourselves till we try and succeed. Then comes the hard part. Doing it exactly the same another time =P

That's AMAZING. Did you teach yourself how to do all of that? I mean the hoops where the 3 wires are really close together, how did you get them to do that?

WOW! Every new piece you post, I'm simply blown away by not only your talent, but your dedication and patience on work like this!!! It's so intricate, I can't imagine how sore your fingertips were at the end (I do silversmithing, but I've only tried wire wrapping once or twice)!!! The center piece is a little full imho, but I love the scrolling details to the sides. Yeay for commissions, and woohoo for *jala, who gets to wear it!!!
